Great store and awesome staff! Been a loyal customer for well over 12 years! I am a first time home buyer and only had about 25" in height to play with in my utility room. Kate recommended this great compact cabinet model which is great. It is so quiet, that we have only heard it run one time when we first had it installed because we knew it was regenerating. Otherwise with my utility doors closed, you would never know this is on! Water for dishes and showering is very good! My cracking skin has been healing much faster since moving in! I would always have to wear gloves while cleaning dishes, but do not need to as the soft was is not aggravating my dry skin! Thank you Water Depot Kitchener!

Recently moved into a house which had a water softener newly installed.  A month later, I had a flood in my basement.  Initially I thought it was from the water heater, got a city worker to come and take a look.  It turned out to be the water softener.  The hose which runs down the drain pipe was not secured at all.  The water pressure had pushed the hose out.  Spoke with Kate at Water Depot.  She was very rude and said that Water Depot wasn't liable even though the flood was due to the plumber (that she hired) not properly securing the hose down!!!  The receipt even states "The seller warranties installation against any leaks from the equipment installed on this contract for a maximum of 60 days."  Brought this to her attention and then she says that the water softener wasn't registered in my name (it's under the previous owner who had it installed the day prior to me moving in) so it doesn't apply to me.  I even told her that I can get in touch with the previous owner but she kept making up excuses. I got in touch with the owner of the plumbing company she contracted out to do the installation.  He explained Water Depot is liable.  Kate is trying to do whatever she can to avoid having to deal with this issue, pointing figures at whoever she can to try and get away with it.  Dont get me wrong, Water Depot's products are great I just highly recommend future customers to avoid the Water Depot on River Rd.
